WOLF CREEK ROTTS...est 1987

THIS IS MY PASSION

Winning National Best Jr. Handler in 1977 with "Andy"

I have been showing dogs since 1976, I started out in Collies, my family is Edenrock Collies. I was born into a "show dog" family. My Mother has been very involved with Collies and the "dog show sport" for well over 45 years, along with my Aunties, sisters and cousins. I was very fortunate to grow up around the art of dog sports, and winning my National Best Jr. Handler in 1977 was a thrill I will NEVER forget!

Although I LOVE the Collies, my heart and soul belongs to the Rottweiler. I have owned and trained Rottweilers since 1987, I have also done Rottweiler Rescue since that time. Along with raising a family, owning my horses and other animals.

However, I was not active in showing Rotties until 1990, when I purchased Wolf Creek's John Cougar (Einmein x Panamint). Cougar was the love of my life, however, he hated the show ring! He was the ultimate Registered Therapy dog, and made many people smile. Unfortunately I lost him, 3 months shy of his 7th birthday to brain cancer - totally devastating, but, NOT uncommon! Rottweilers, I have since found, die from MANY different kinds of cancers. They seem to have a higher propensity, to contracting many kinds of cancers, than other breeds. Such a sad fate for this most loyal, beautiful breed.

I was fortunate to meet Janice Stannard of "KaHar" and her lovely dogs, Gunner, Lindsay, and Harley, in 1992. I decided that her dogs had the "look" that I wanted! Her dogs were tightly linebred on the gorgeous CH Boss of Hale's Hollow - it was pure LOVE for me!

I acquired my dog "Gunner", KaHar's Sonofagun v Wolfcrk, in 1998 from Jannie, and Wolf Creek was officially "known". Gunner was an awesome show dog and did very well with his handler, Janet Davis (JaNel's Rottweilers). However, he was diagnosed with hip dysplasia in his right hip and was neutered. He only lacked 4 points to finish his Championship, but that does not a dog make. :-) He is still alive and well and the KING of the castle.

I then acquired CH Seirra Gold's Anja v Wolfcrk (Furst x Demmi), and she has been a joy, one of the smartest bitches I have ever had. Then I purchased CH Wolf Creek's Mi Gia v Kalimba, (Kaiser x Maxine) from James Turner, and my foundation was complete.

Anja and Gia, have proved to be excellent foundation bitches, excellent loyal pets & companions, excellent and loving mothers. Their children, are the "new" faces of Wolf Creek, now DARLIN' Rottweilers. Please look for Meme, Tiger, Gator, Angel and Tandie, in a ring in the near future.

Lastly, I would like to say that I have been very fortunate to own these magnificant dogs and to have met some wonderful people in the Rottweiler world. You know who you are - I am proud to call you my friend.

A VERY special thank you to Mrs Laurie Jordan-Fenner and family, Ms Janet Davis, Mr Anthony Groth, and Ms Erin Pearcy, for the excellent care and handling of my dogs. I greatly appreciate all of you!!! Also, thank you Wendi Lewellen for being my friend, and such a knowledgable person, in the Rottweiler breed.
